Erik’s journey into Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) began after a series of skiing injuries left him searching for a natural and effective way to heal. His experience with TCM’s ability to treat physical pain, improve sleep, enhance digestion, and promote emotional well-being inspired him to pursue this holistic approach to health. His personal healing journey, combined with extensive formal training, makes him a compassionate and knowledgeable practitioner.

Erik holds a 6-year advanced diploma in TCM from 8 Branches Academy, where he trained in acupuncture and other therapeutic techniques. His education was further enriched by a 2-month internship in China, where he deepened his understanding of TCM’s principles in their traditional context. Additionally, Erik has a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from York University, which has enhanced his appreciation of the cultural and philosophical foundations of Eastern medicine.

With a hands-on approach, Erik uses acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion to tailor each treatment to the individual’s needs. On your first visit, expect a thorough review of your health history, body systems, and a diagnostic analysis using tools like tongue and pulse examination. Based on this information, Erik creates a personalized treatment plan to help restore balance and support your health goals.

Outside of the clinic

Erik enjoys an active lifestyle, often found hiking, gardening, riding his motorcycle, or cheering on Liverpool F.C. – “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” After years of travel and exploration, he has returned home to be closer to friends and family, offering his services with a deep sense of community and care.
